Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert occupational therapy to orthopedic patients, focusing on upper extremity conditions like shoulder repairs, wrist and elbow tendonitis, and fractures
Deliver compassionate care across acute inpatient, acute rehab, transitional care, and outpatient settings
Utilize ReDoc and Meditech documentation systems to maintain accurate patient records
Treat approximately 12 patients per day, ensuring high-quality, individualized therapy
Collaborate with a dedicated team of rehab aides and the OT manager to optimize patient outcomes
Cover primarily outpatient orthopedics, with 80-100% orthopedic caseload

Qualifications

Active Oregon Occupational Therapy License required
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Experience in orthopedics, specifically upper extremity therapy (shoulder, elbow, wrist)
Familiarity with ReDoc and Meditech documentation systems preferred
Lymphedema training is a plus but not required
Ability to treat a diverse patient population including CVA, MS, and head injury cases

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical skills in orthopedic occupational therapy, especially hand and upper extremity therapy
Knowledge of acute inpatient, acute rehab, transitional care, and outpatient therapy protocols
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Proficiency in ReDoc and Meditech systems
Compassionate patient-centered approach to care
