Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour rotating shifts (6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM), every other weekend

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with cardiac, medical-surgical, and critical care needs
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, titrating drips such as Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, and Cardizem
Manage patients with sepsis, stroke, post-stent, post-pacer, and renal failure diagnoses
Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed to support PCU acuity patients
Focus on patient experience scores through responsive care and clear communication

Qualifications

Active RN license (compact or state-specific)
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Proven competence in arterial line management
Driver's license required for radius verification
Must be flexible and adaptable with excellent communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and rhythm recognition
Drip titration for vasoactive and antiarrhythmic medications
Experience with high-flow oxygen therapy
Ability to work in a fast-paced PCU environment
Cultural sensitivity to serve diverse populations (Hispanic and Somalian)
