Location: Omaha, Nebraska

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Days) or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Nights), every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to oncology and PCU patients in a mixed acuity unit
Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients for adverse reactions
Titrate IV drips such as heparin, cardizem, and insulin as needed
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Perform hourly rounding to ensure patient safety and satisfaction
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed within same level of care

Qualifications

Current RN license in Nebraska (or compact state)
Minimum 1 year of recent PCU and/or Oncology experience
ACLS and BLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred
Chemotherapy certification required (must have at submission)
EPIC experience preferred
Willing to take a pass/fail exam and achieve 90% during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of chemotherapy administration and safe handling
Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records
Ability to work in a fast-paced, mixed-acuity unit (PCU, Oncology, Med/Surg)
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Comfortable with ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring (training provided)
Understanding of patient diversity and cultural sensitivity
