Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour rotating shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to oncology and trauma PCU patients, from diagnosis through recovery
Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients for adverse reactions with precision and empathy
Titrate drips like heparin and cardizem while managing a mixed unit of PCU and med/surg patients
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and educators to ensure holistic care
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed, sharing your expertise across the floor
Embrace hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives to make every interaction meaningful

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent PCU and oncology nursing experience
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
First-time travelers are welcome - we'll support your journey
Must pass an open-book exam on skills with 90% accuracy during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in EPIC electronic medical records
Skilled in ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan), and Alaris IV pumps
Knowledge of ONS/ONCC chemotherapy standards and safe handling
Strong teamwork and communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment
