Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with rotating weekends (2 per 4-week schedule) and holiday requirements

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with cardiac, respiratory, GI, and diabetic conditions
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, ensuring early detection of cardiac arrhythmias
Manage post-catheterization and total joint replacement patients
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes
Administer medications and maintain set-rate drips such as Cardizem
Educate patients and families on disease management and recovery plans

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Must pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% within two attempts
Minimum 1 year of telemetry/med-surg experience
Experience with CVA, TIA, and total joint replacement patients preferred
Cerner experience strongly preferred due to limited orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and arrhythmia interpretation
Cardiac care and medical-surgical nursing
Patient assessment and critical thinking
Effective communication and teamwork
Time management and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
