Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert care to neuro patients including post-surgical, post-crani, spine, and CVA post-TPA cases
Interpret EKGs and monitor centralized telemetry for up to 4 patients at a time
Collaborate with a dedicated team including Charge Nurses, Clinical Supervisors, and PCTs
Ensure sterile field techniques and pass a Pass/Fail exam on day one
Administer medications and treatments according to hospital protocols
Educate patients and families on recovery and neuro health

Qualifications

Must have at least 2 years of recent RN experience in a neuro or telemetry setting
Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
EKG interpretation skills essential—you'll be reading those rhythms
COVID-19 vaccine (or approved declination) required
Must pass a dysrhythmia exam via RELIAS within 48 hours of offer

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of neuro conditions and post-surgical care
Proficiency in sterile technique and infection control
Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Comfortable with a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
