Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and treatments for patients across all age ranges, from neonates to geriatrics
• Draw arterial blood gases (ABGs) and perform EKGs as needed
• Manage ventilators (PB980, Hamilton C1) and non-invasive ventilation (V60 BiPAP), including high-flow oxygen therapy
• Respond to emergency codes and provide life-saving respiratory interventions
• Collaborate with ER, inpatient, and outpatient teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Serve as the sole respiratory therapist on shift when needed, making independent clinical decisions

Qualifications

• Active North Dakota Respiratory Therapy License at time of submission
• CRT or RRT (RRT strongly preferred) certification
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• PALS and NRP certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
• Previous travel experience not required, but welcome

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in ventilator management (PB980, Hamilton C1, V60 BiPAP)
• Competence in arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and analysis
• Experience with EKG acquisition and interpretation
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR system
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
