Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend, every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the PCU
Monitor cardiac rhythms, titrate drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support hospital operations
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with patients and families
Participate in orientation including an open-book skills exam to demonstrate competency

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or stepdown experience preferred
Valid driver's license and ability to comply with 50-mile radius rule
Positive attitude, critical thinking skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and drip titration
Adaptability to float between units and handle diverse patient populations
Commitment to patient safety and adherence to fingernail policy
