Sonographer - General, OBGYN & Vascular

Location: Durango, Colorado

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 4x10-hour shifts, variable days, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM, with on-call 1-2 nights per week and every 3rd weekend, plus holiday coverage as needed

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform high-quality general, OBGYN, and vascular ultrasound exams with precision and care
Assist with interventional procedures including drains and biopsies
Operate state-of-the-art Phillips ultrasound equipment to capture diagnostic images
Maintain a safe, comfortable environment for patients throughout their scans
Accurately document and archive imaging studies using Fuji EPIC PACS
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

Current BLS certification required
ARDMS certification in RDMS (General or OBGYN) required; RVT preferred
Experience with ultrasound-guided procedures is a must
Ability to start IVs (though not required daily)
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in general, OBGYN, and vascular ultrasound imaging
Proficiency with Phillips ultrasound systems
Familiarity with EPIC EMR and PACS systems
Solid understanding of anatomy and pathology
Comfortable with a fast-paced imaging volume of 8-10 studies per day
Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and on-call responsibilities
