Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist in patient diagnosis
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, and ensure comfort
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal image quality
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to provide accurate results
- Document and record patient information and exam details
Qualifications
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification required
- Active Oregon state license to practice as a sonographer
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Strong attention to detail and patient care skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in abdominal, OB/GYN, and vascular ultrasound
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
