Location: Kansas City, Missouri

Start Date: 02-16-2026

End Date: 05-18-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday with rotating weekends preferred, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert speech-language pathology services across acute care and inpatient rehab units
Perform bedside swallow evaluations to ensure patient safety and recovery
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a Level 1 Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center
Manage a diverse caseload, adapting to both acute and rehabilitation settings
Utilize TIMS and Meditech for documentation and equipment management
Conduct video swallow studies when needed, enhancing diagnostic accuracy

Qualifications

Active Missouri state license in Speech-Language Pathology
Minimum 2 years of experience in acute care and/or inpatient rehabilitation
Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
BLS certification (must obtain prior to start)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in bedside swallow evaluations and video swallow studies
Experience with TIMS and Meditech systems
Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
Ability to float between acute care and rehab units seamlessly
