Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM; on-call weeknights 3:15 PM - 6:45 AM 3-4 times per week, weekend call every other to every third Friday 3:15 PM to Monday 6:45 AM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and first scrub for open heart surgeries including CABG, valve replacements, and aneurysm repairs
Assist with thoracic, vascular, and robotic cases (ION, VATS, convergent)
Cross-train into general OR specialties to support low CV volume
Participate in on-call rotations for emergent cases with 15-minute response time
Work collaboratively in a family-oriented team environment

Qualifications

Current BLS, CST or NCCT, and North Dakota UAP certifications
Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience with open hearts, CABG, and valves
Must be able to first scrub for complex cardiac procedures
Willingness to cross-train into general OR and float to floor as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Open heart surgery procedures and first scrub techniques
Thoracic and vascular surgery including AAA and carotids
Robotic surgery systems (ION, da Vinci) and ECMO/Impella
Stryker towers and other surgical equipment
Call response within 15 minutes and post-call reprieve shifts
