Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 5 x 8-hour shifts per week, plus on-call

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $70 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert perianesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia
Monitor vital signs and manage pain, ensuring a smooth and safe recovery
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the care team to deliver outstanding outcomes
Educate patients and families on post-procedure care and discharge instructions
Respond quickly to changes in patient condition, prioritizing safety and comfort

Qualifications

Current and valid RN license in Rhode Island (or compact state license)
BLS and ACLS certifications required
At least 1 year of recent PACU experience

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Proficiency in interpreting vital signs and EKGs
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
