Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries
Prepare the operating room, instruments, and equipment for CVOR procedures
Monitor patient vitals and assist the surgical team during procedures
Administer medications and manage patient needs pre-, intra-, and post-operatively
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes
Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols

Qualifications

Active California RN license in good standing
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR experience preferred
Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

In-depth knowledge of cardiac and vascular surgical procedures
Proficiency in sterile technique and operating room protocols
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
Excellent teamwork and patient advocacy skills
