Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts rotating days and nights, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to a diverse patient population in our 22-bed ED/MedSurg Swing unit
Manage acute care patients with a 1:4 ratio and swing bed patients at 1:6
Titrate drips and monitor telemetry, reading strips independently
Function as charge nurse when needed and float to ED holds as required
Collaborate with a dedicated team including RT equipment support for O2, CPAP, and occasional vents
Ensure patient safety and quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

At least one year of MedSurg experience is required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (must have at time of start)
Ability to read telemetry strips independently (ED nurses)
Comfortable titrating drips and managing acute patients
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Strong MedSurg and ED nursing skills
Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Titration of common drips
Charge nurse experience preferred
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
