Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and manage critically ill patients in the PCU, ensuring their stability and comfort
Administer medications and IV therapies with precision and care
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
Educate patients and families about conditions and treatment plans
Respond quickly to changes in patient status and intervene appropriately
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all care provided

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/step-down nursing experience
Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state license
Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Expertise in managing cardiac drips and titrating medications
Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills
Competence in using electronic health records (EHR)
Knowledge of PCU-specific protocols and standards
