Gastroenterologist

Location: Bismarck, ND

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 24-hour on-call shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM, including hospital rounding and procedures.

Candidate Pay Rate: $2212 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive gastroenterology care for hospitalized patients
Perform hospital rounding and consultations on inpatient GI service
Conduct endoscopic procedures including colonoscopy, upper GI endoscopy, PEG, and dilation
Manage acute GI bleeding with variceal banding and other interventions
Perform sigmoidoscopy, polypectomy, and biopsies as needed
Collaborate with support staff including RNs and CRNAs in endoscopy suite
Maintain proficiency in ERCP (highly preferred)

Qualifications

Board Certified in Gastroenterology (GI)
Active ND medical license or IMLC compact license
Current BLS and DEA certifications
Clean malpractice history
Experience in general GI and endoscopic procedures
ERCP experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in EPIC EMR
Expertise in colonoscopy, upper GI endoscopy, and polypectomy
Skill in managing hospitalized GI patients with consultative service
Ability to work independently as solo locum with no other gastroenterologist on site
Strong communication and teamwork skills
