Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to adult patients on a mixed Oncology/PCU/Med-Surg unit
• Monitor and manage patients receiving chemotherapy and other complex medications
• Titrate drips such as heparin, cardizem, and insulin as needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
• Perform hourly rounding to ensure patient safety and satisfaction
• Float to other PCU and Med-Surg units as needed, maintaining the same level of care

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of recent experience in Oncology, PCU, or Med-Surg
• Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
• Chemotherapy certification (CHEMO CERT) required or preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• EPIC experience preferred but not required
• Valid driver's license required at submittal
• Compliance with facility's artificial nail policy (no artificial nails in patient care areas)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of oncology patient care, including chemotherapy administration
• Proficient in monitoring and managing PCU-level patients with drips and telemetry
• Familiar with EPIC EMR and Alaris IV pumps
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, mixed-acuity environment
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Adaptability to float between units and patient populations
