Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC, every other weekend, self-schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology, PCU, and med-surg patients in a mixed acuity unit
Administer chemotherapy and manage complex drips like heparin and cardizem
Monitor hemodynamic status including CVP, arterial lines, and Swan-Ganz catheters
Titrate drips as needed and respond to changing patient conditions
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to other PCU and med-surg units as needed to support the team
Champion patient experience through hourly rounding and respectful care

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent PCU, oncology, or med-surg nursing experience
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required at submission
BLS and ACLS certifications required
EPIC experience preferred but not required
Willingness to pass an open-book exam with 90% during orientation
Driver's license required for radius verification

Knowledge & Skills

Oncology nursing and chemotherapy administration
Progressive care monitoring and hemodynamics
Medical-surgical nursing fundamentals
Ventilator management (training provided)
IV pump operation (Alaris)
Team-oriented attitude with a positive, resilient mindset
