Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Various shifts available: 7:00 AM-7:00 PM, 9:00 AM-9:00 PM, 11:00 AM-11:00 PM, 3:00 PM-3:00 AM, or 7:00 PM-7:00 AM; schedule determined by leadership; weekend and holiday rotation based on department needs.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to emergency patients in a fast-paced Level I Trauma Center
Triage and assess patients of all ages with diverse medical conditions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver critical care
Administer medications and perform procedures per protocols
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips and respond to changes in patient status
Float to OBS unit and freestanding ER as needed to support team coverage

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required (NRP preferred)
Minimum 1-2 years of recent Level I or Level II trauma ER experience
Driver's license required for distance verification
Willingness to adhere to fingernail policy (no artificial nails in patient care areas)
Ability to pass open-book exam with 90% during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to thrive in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
Proficiency in reading and interpreting telemetry strips
Familiarity with common emergency department drips and protocols
