Location: Woodland, CA

End Date: 10-06-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend and rotating holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting
Triage and assess patients with a wide range of conditions, from minor injuries to critical emergencies
Administer medications, perform EKG interpretation, and monitor telemetry
Collaborate with physicians, hospitalists, and intensivists to deliver timely interventions
Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR
Float to other Sacramento facilities when needed (rare mid-shift float)
Participate in bedside shift reports for seamless patient handoffs

Qualifications

Active California RN license in good standing
Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience preferred
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
Proficiency in EKG interpretation and telemetry monitoring
Experience with Cerner EMR is a plus
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

Expert assessment and critical thinking in emergency scenarios
Knowledge of emergency protocols and trauma care
Ability to read and interpret EKG strips confidently
Familiarity with behavioral health patient management (BHU support available)
Comfortable with vents and rapid response situations
