Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, days and nights, including every other weekend and rotating holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
Triage patients and initiate life-saving interventions
Administer medications and manage complex drips like Cardene, Levophed, and Propofol
Collaborate with physicians, midlevels, and techs in a fast-paced Level III Trauma Center
Float between Bryan and College Station campuses as needed
Mentor and precept new team members when required

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience in a similar volume and acuity setting
Active and unrestricted Texas RN license or compact license eligible
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
Must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia exam (83%) before signing contract
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in trauma care, including chest tubes, rapid transfusions, and intubations
Proficient in cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills
Experience with EMR systems like PulseCheck or Picis
Comfortable caring for patients across the lifespan, from pediatrics to geriatrics
