Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, including weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide intensive care for post-cardiac surgery patients, including CABG, valve replacements, and transplants
Manage continuous hemodynamic monitoring, mechanical ventilation, and advanced cardiac devices such as IABP and ECMO
Administer medications and titrate vasoactive drips to maintain hemodynamic stability
Monitor for arrhythmias and intervene using ACLS protocols
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including intensivists, surgeons, and respiratory therapists for optimal patient outcomes
Float to other ICUs and telemetry units as needed, ensuring safe patient ratios

Qualifications

Current RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required; CCRN strongly preferred
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience, with CVICU experience highly desired
Level I Trauma Center experience required
Strong IV skills and ability to interpret dysrhythmias
Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start

Knowledge & Skills

Advanced cardiac monitoring and interpretation
Mechanical circulatory support devices (IABP, Impella, ECMO)
CRRT and continuous renal replacement therapy
Post-operative cardiac surgery care
Strong critical thinking and ability to work in high-acuity environment
