Location: College Station, Texas

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 09-28-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts starting at 6:45 AM/PM, mid-shifts at 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM; every other weekend; holiday rotation per unit schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics
Assess, triage, and prioritize patients in a fast-paced Level III Trauma Center and STEMI/Stroke Receiving facility
Administer medications, including common drips such as pressors and sedation
Interpret cardiac rhythms and EKGs independently
Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient outcomes
Manage critically ill patients, trauma cases, and psychiatric holds with security support
Float to other units as needed, primarily helping hands-on
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain a safe environment

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Active RN license in Texas or compact state (NLC)

Knowledge & Skills

Advanced dysrhythmia interpretation (must pass a dysrhythmia test at 83%)
Proficiency in EKG interpretation and rhythm strip reading
Experience with common ER drips (pressors, sedation, etc.)
Strong critical thinking and ability to perform in high-stress situations
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge of trauma, stroke, and STEMI protocols
