Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, rotating weekends every other week

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population in a combined ICU, PCU, and MST unit
Titrate vasopressors, sedation, and insulin drips as ordered
Monitor telemetry and interpret 12-lead EKGs for ICU patients
Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to manage 10-bed unit
Float to other units as needed, including EC MST and West Campus ICU/PCU
Maintain competency in caring for all levels of acuity from medical ICU to med-surg

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; or 1 year ICU + 1 year PCU/Med-Surg in a larger facility
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam (score 80% within two attempts)
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility and not have worked for CommonSpirit in the past year

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in drip titration for sedation, vasopressors, and insulin
Skilled in dysrhythmia recognition and 12-lead EKG interpretation
Experience with vent management and BiPAP/CPAP support
Strong ability to adapt to changing patient acuity levels
