Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shifts, 12-hour, every other weekend. Typical shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (subject to scheduling).

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
Manage trauma cases, including central line placement, chest tubes, and MTP
Administer medications and monitor critical drips
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team in a Level III Trauma Center
Float between Bryan and College Station campuses as needed
Participate in codes and rapid responses

Qualifications

2+ years of recent ER experience in a similar volume and trauma level facility
Comfortable with central line placement, MTP, chest tubes, trauma, STEMIs, and strokes
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
Must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia exam (83%) before contract start

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in central line placement, MTP, chest tube management
Knowledge of stroke and STEMI protocols
Skilled in titration of critical drips (Diltiazem, Cardene, Nitro, Propofol, etc.)
Experience with PulseCheck or Picis EMR
Strong teamwork and communication skills
