Location: Sacramento, California

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Varied 8- or 10-hour day shifts, typically starting at 6 AM or 10 AM, with overnight call once a week and weekend call duties (approximately 3 weekend days per month)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist in a fast-paced CVOR environment, preparing and maintaining the sterile field
Anticipate surgeon needs during cardiovascular surgeries including CABG and valve procedures
Monitor and interpret EKG strips and assist with telemetry
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Participate in on-call rotations, including overnight and weekend call

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR experience required
BLS and NIHSS certifications required
Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
Ability to interpret EKG strips
First-time travelers welcome, but must have strong CVOR skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in cardiovascular operating room procedures and sterile technique
Knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment for open-heart surgeries
Strong communication and teamwork skills in a high-stress environment
Ability to adapt to varied shift schedules and on-call duties
