Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend, 36 hours per week

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized nursing care to Med Surg ICU patients including adults and pediatrics over 15 years old
Titrate vasopressors, paralytics, sedation, antiarrhythmics, and other critical drips
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips using Draeger heart monitoring system
Care for patients with respiratory failure, ARDS, sepsis, stroke, cardiogenic shock, and post-surgical needs
Collaborate with attendings, fellows, and residents in a fast-paced team environment
Float to all inpatient units excluding Maternity/NICU as needed
Participate in orientation with pass/fail exam on unit-specific skills and protocols

Qualifications

2 years of recent ICU experience required
Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Valid driver's license to verify 50-mile radius rule
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
Positive attitude, critical thinking skills, and willingness to help others

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in titrating vasopressors, sedatives, and antiarrhythmics
Experience with CRRT, Impella, balloon pump, and ICP monitoring (training available)
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
