Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert perioperative nursing care to cardiovascular surgery patients
Assist surgeons during open-heart and vascular procedures in a fast-paced CVOR suite
Monitor patient vitals and anesthesia during surgery, ensuring safety at all times
Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain sterile field and optimize outcomes
Educate patients and families on postoperative care and recovery plans
Document patient care accurately and comply with regulatory standards

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR or OR experience preferred
BLS and ACLS certifications required
CNOR certification is a plus
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

Knowledge & Skills

In-depth knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and surgical instruments
Proficient in sterile technique and infection control practices
Ability to remain calm and focused during high-stress procedures
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
