Location: College Station, Texas

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 09-28-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, starting at 6:45 AM or 6:45 PM; midshifts available at 9, 11, 1, 3. Every other weekend required.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate emergency care to patients of all ages, from pediatrics to trauma
Perform and interpret EKGs autonomously using telemetry monitors
Administer critical care drips including pressors and sedation
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, midlevels, and RTs
Manage holds and provide continuous care in the ER setting
Triage patients and prioritize care based on acuity
Troubleshoot RT equipment such as vents, CPAP, and BiPap

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent ER nursing experience
Active RN license in Texas or compact state
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia exam (83%) before start
Open to first-time travelers - we welcome you!
EKG interpretation and critical care drip proficiency
Ability to work 12-hour shifts and every other weekend

Knowledge & Skills

EKG interpretation and telemetry monitoring
RT equipment troubleshooting (vents, CPAP, BiPap, high flow)
Critical care drips: pressors, sedation, and more
Pediatric emergency care experience preferred
Trauma level III and stroke/stemi receiving protocols
Strong communication and teamwork skills
