Location: Arvada, Colorado

End Date: 10-12-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, 36 hours/week, with holiday rotation (one summer and one winter holiday off)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced urgent care/ED setting
Triage patients independently and manage a variety of conditions including chest pain, respiratory issues, dehydration, orthopedic injuries, stroke rule-outs, lacerations, and gastrointestinal complaints
Perform point-of-care lab functions and interpret results
Manage patients on ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen (no RT on-site)
Read and interpret telemetry strips and EKGs
Collaborate with one ED attending physician available 24/7
Float to other units as needed

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
Minimum of 2 years of ER experience preferred
Ability to be self-directed and manage patients independently
Willingness to train in Point of Care Lab functions
Must live or be willing to relocate within 60 miles of the facility (proof of driver's license required)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong triage and assessment skills
Proficiency in managing critical drips and advanced airway equipment
Knowledge of emergency nursing protocols and standards
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Capable of working autonomously in a high-acuity setting
