Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM (with occasional earlier start for open heart prep); on-call 3-4 nights per week and every other to every third weekend

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare the operating room for cardiovascular surgeries, including open heart procedures like CABG and valve replacements
Assist surgeons during procedures as first scrub, ensuring sterile technique and proper instrumentation
Cross-train in general OR specialties to support low CV volume periods
Float to patient care areas as a 1:1 sitter when needed to supplement hours
Respond to on-call situations within 15 minutes

Qualifications

Must have at least 2 years of CVOR experience
Must be willing to cross train to general OR as needed
Ability to first scrub on open heart cases
BLS, CST or NCCT, ND UAP certifications required
Must be able to respond to call within 15 minutes

Knowledge & Skills

Sterile technique, surgical assisting, patient care
Experience with open heart surgery, CABG, valve surgery
Familiarity with robotic surgery, ECMO, Impella, Stryker towers
Willingness to float to floor as a 1:1 sitter
