Location: Glendale, Arizona

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, possibly 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM; weekends required 2 per month

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate emergency nursing care to patients with conditions such as abdominal pain and headaches (ESI 3-4)
Perform all labs, EKGs, patient transfers, and physical assessments
Serve as charge nurse without patient assignment when census exceeds 20
Maintain a sterile field during procedures like Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Collaborate with a positive and supportive team to foster a great work environment
Float to Litchfield and Glendale FSEDs as needed (not to main campus)

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
Minimum 1 year of ED experience (preferred)
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Cerner EMR experience preferred
Comfortable with pass/fail SIMs lab for clinical skills
Must pass DYS exam prior to acceptance
Clean shaven for fit test (men), natural hair color, no facial piercings

Knowledge & Skills

Strong sterile technique and infection control
Ability to perform EKGs, lab draws, and patient transfers
Telemetry monitoring with Phillips system
Team-oriented with excellent communication skills
