Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $69 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert emergency nursing care in a Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center
Perform rapid assessments, administer medications, and monitor patients in a high-volume ED
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care
Document accurately using Cerner and float across all ED sections as needed
Enhance patient experience through AIDET communication and timely updates

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an emergency room setting
Experience in a Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center strongly preferred
Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications (must obtain before start)
ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
Team-player mindset with flexibility to work in all areas of the ED

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in emergency and trauma nursing
Proficiency with Cerner documentation system
Experience with Baxter pumps and GE monitors
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Familiarity with AIDET principles for patient experience
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
