Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional pre-operative and post-operative care for cardiovascular surgery patients
Monitor critical vitals and manage complex cardiac devices
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on recovery and cardiac health
Respond swiftly to changes in patient status and initiate appropriate interventions

Qualifications

Active RN license in Kansas (or compact state)
Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiovascular or critical care nursing
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in cardiac monitoring and interpretation
Proficiency in managing chest tubes, pacing wires, and hemodynamic lines
Knowledge of post-operative complications and emergency protocols
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
