Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Night shift, 12-hour shifts, including rotating weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional care to immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients in a 16-bed CVICU
Monitor and manage advanced hemodynamic systems including PA catheters, IABP, Impella, and CRRT
Collaborate with a 24/7 intensivist team and strong nursing team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Perform or assist with central line insertion, swan insertion, intubations, and other critical procedures
Utilize Phillips bedside telemetry monitors, Hill-Rom beds, and Alaris IV pumps to deliver top-tier care
Document accurately in Meditech and uphold patient safety standards

Qualifications

Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state
Minimum 2 years of strong critical care experience, including CVICU
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Experience with PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring required
Proficiency with IABP, Impella, and CRRT strongly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Advanced hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
Care of patients on ECMO, Centrimag, and HM3 LVAD devices
Procedural skills: central line insertion, Swan-Ganz catheter insertion, intubations
Proficient in Meditech documentation system
Strong teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced environment
