Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts (3:00 PM - 3:00 AM), including weekends and holidays, with schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care to a diverse adult and geriatric patient population across multiple units including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Ortho, and more
Float within Zone 1 covering five facilities in the Colorado Springs area, adapting quickly to different unit environments
Monitor telemetry and titrate heparin drips as ordered
Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain flexibility to assist in PCU/Stepdown or ICU holding when needed
Support weekend and holiday staffing requirements as part of a 6-week schedule

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical/Telemetry experience required
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Experience with heparin titration
Prefer prior neuro experience
Must be willing to float within a 60-mile zone and obtain housing accordingly
Compact or Colorado RN license required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
Ability to adapt to various patient acuity levels and unit specialties
Excellent communication and teamwork in a float pool setting
Time management and flexibility to handle Just-In-Time scheduling
Proficiency in caring for post-surgical, medical, and stable long-term patients
