Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, options include days (7a-7p, 7a-3p) and nights (7p-7a, 11p-7a); every other weekend; self-scheduling

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma PCU/MedSurg patients
Administer chemotherapy and manage IV drips including heparin, cardizem, and insulin
Monitor hemodynamic status and titrate drips as needed
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to MedSurg and PCU units as needed at same level of care
Participate in hourly rounding to enhance patient experience
Maintain a positive attitude and support team members for a great work environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of PCU, MedSurg, and/or Oncology experience
First-time travelers welcome
ACLS and BLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC and Chemotherapy Certification preferred
Driver's license required for submittal
Must pass a skills exam with 90% during orientation (open book, resources provided)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in chemotherapy administration and handling
Experience with ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000)
Competent with EPIC EMR system
Ability to work in a fast-paced, mixed unit environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Cultural competence and respect for diverse patient backgrounds
