Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and diagnose speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing function
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with facility standards
Provide patient and family education on therapeutic techniques and home exercises
Float to Mercy Medical Center Redding as needed to support patient care

Qualifications

Active California Speech-Language Pathology License
Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
Minimum 2 years of recent experience as an SLP
Strong clinical skills in assessment and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of evidence-based practices in speech-language pathology
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Cultural competency and sensitivity in patient care
