Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends and holidays, 36 hours per week

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform a wide range of laboratory tests in a fast-paced generalist role on night shift
Ensure accuracy and precision in test results to support patient care
Occasionally perform phlebotomy procedures on patients
Utilize EPIC Beaker LIS system for order entry, specimen tracking, and result reporting
Maintain quality control and instrument troubleshooting
Collaborate with lab team and nursing staff to deliver timely diagnoses

Qualifications

Valid MLT or MLS certification (ASCP or equivalent)
Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a generalist medical technologist
Proficiency with EPIC Beaker LIS system
BLS certification preferred
Comfortable working independently on night shifts

Knowledge & Skills

Comprehensive knowledge of clinical laboratory procedures in chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, and microbiology
Strong phlebotomy skills for occasional blood draws
Ability to thrive in a 24/7 hospital lab environment
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and teamwork
