Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized nursing care to neuro patients, including post-surgical recovery, spinal surgeries, and stroke management
Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and EKGs to detect arrhythmias
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
Collaborate with charge nurses and clinical supervisors to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain sterile field during procedures and assist with bedside procedures
Educate patients and families on neuro conditions and recovery plans

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Neuro Telemetry experience (within the past 6 months)
Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of offer (via RELIAS, 2 attempts max)
Successful completion of a sterile technique exam on day 1
COVID-19 vaccination or approved declination required

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in EKG and dysrhythmia interpretation
Strong sterile technique and infection control practices
Proficient in neuro assessment for stroke, post-crani, and spinal patients
Ability to work in a fast-paced 28-bed unit with 1:3-4 nurse-to-patient ratio
Team collaboration with PCTs and charge nurse support
