Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to oncology patients on a 32-bed acute telemetry unit
Monitor telemetry and interpret EKG readings to ensure patient safety
Administer chemotherapy and manage complex medical-surgical and oncologic conditions
Collaborate with charge nurses, PCTs, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care
Maintain sterile field during central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertions
Float to other MedSurg/Tele units as needed to support hospital operations

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Chemo certification is a plus
Minimum 1 year of recent oncology or telemetry nursing experience preferred
Ability to pass the DYS exam prior to acceptance

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
Strong understanding of oncology nursing and chemotherapy administration
Competent in sterile field technique for central line and catheter procedures
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Comfortable with Cerner EMR system
