Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide intermediate care for cardiac and vascular patients, including post-surgical and downgraded CVICU patients
Titrate and manage critical drips such as amiodarone, nitro, nicardipine, and epinephrine
Interpret telemetry strips and monitor cardiac rhythms remotely
Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and cardiologists to deliver optimal patient outcomes
Float to units of equal or lower acuity as needed
Support the thoracic program, EP lab, cath lab, and structural heart services

Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience with this patient population
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Valid driver's license (required at submittal)
Ability to pass an open-book exam on skills during orientation (90% pass rate required)
No artificial nails allowed in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in cardiac drip titration and blood pressure management
Proficiency in telemetry reading and interpretation
Comfortable with BiPAP, CPAP, and nasal cannula
Strong communication and teamwork skills
