Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and timely reassessments for pediatric, adult and geriatric patients
- Administer medications safely following the SIX medication rights and monitor patient response
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and identify dysrhythmias; initiate ACLS-based treatments as appropriate
- Interpret hemodynamic data and adjust care plans based on patient status
- Collaborate and communicate clearly with physicians, charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams
- Assist physicians with procedures and perform technical nursing treatments within scope of licensure
- Develop, revise and evaluate individualized plans of care and provide family-centered education
- Manage transfers, admissions and other unit assignments as a resource nurse who can hit the ground running
Qualifications
- Current New Hampshire RN license or Compact RN license in-hand at time of submission (facility will not pend)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience — strong proficiency in Emergency Department and Med-Surg/PCU required
- ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) required at submission; PALS or ENPC must be obtained within 6 months of hire
- COVID-19 vaccination required
- Willingness to float and be assigned where needed — this is a float/resource role
- Rural or small facility experience highly preferred; ability to work independently is a must
- Submission package: work history, current skills checklist (within 1 year), supervisory signed reference (within 2 years), and uploaded certs
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong cardiac monitoring skills and ability to recognize and respond to dysrhythmias
- Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
- Skilled in patient assessment, pain management and age-specific care (pediatric to geriatric)
- Medication knowledge and safe administration practices
- Experience with admissions, transfers and rapid patient throughput
- Comfort assisting with procedures and working under stressful or time-sensitive conditions
- Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
