Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients across the lifespan (newborn to geriatric) and develop individualized nursing plans
• Provide hands-on Med-Surg and telemetry care, including continuous cardiac monitoring and timely interventions
• Perform rapid assessment and ED-level triage when needed, using strong clinical judgment
• Document nursing care accurately and thoroughly using the nursing process
• Collaborate with the care team to coordinate safe, patient-centered care in a rural critical access setting
• Make independent nursing decisions and take responsibility for assigned patient care
• Mentor and support team members while contributing to a positive unit culture

Qualifications

• Current New Hampshire RN license or Compact RN (must be in-hand at submission)
• ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA) — facility will not pend certs (must be uploaded)
• Minimum 2+ years ICU, PCU or Med-Surg experience (required)
• Minimum 2+ years Emergency Department (ED) experience (required)
• Telemetry experience required
• Comfortable working independently in a small/rural/critical access hospital and able to hit the ground running
• Provide work history, skills checklist (current to 1 year), and 1 supervisory signed reference (within past 2 years)

• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficient in nursing process and documentation best practices
• Cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
• Inpatient Med-Surg and ED clinical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork in small-facility environments
• Ability to prioritize, make independent decisions, and manage diverse patient populations
