Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered emergency care in a small critical access hospital setting
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients arriving to the Emergency Department
• Administer medications and perform clinical procedures across ED, acute, and long-term care areas as needed
• Float between emergency, acute, and LTC units when patient volumes require backup support
• Document assessments, treatments, and patient responses clearly and promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate safe transitions and continuity of care
• Maintain a calm, adaptable approach to varied clinical situations in a resource-limited setting

Qualifications

• Active Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) license required by start of assignment; applicants without an active HI license must apply upon acceptance
• Minimum two years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience
• Strong medication administration and clinical procedures experience across acute and long-term care settings
• Comfortable working in a small hospital where RNs cover multiple areas and float as needed
• Professional license in good standing and ability to comply with facility onboarding requirements
