Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6 shifts per 2-week period (72 hours per two-week period), day and night rotations as assigned, every 3rd weekend off. Specific start/end times vary by schedule and assignment (12-hour day or night shifts).
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered emergency care in a small critical access hospital setting
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patients arriving to the Emergency Department
- Administer medications and perform clinical procedures across ED, acute, and long-term care areas as needed
- Float between emergency, acute, and LTC units when patient volumes require backup support
- Document assessments, treatments, and patient responses clearly and promptly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate safe transitions and continuity of care
- Maintain a calm, adaptable approach to varied clinical situations in a resource-limited setting
Qualifications
- Active Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) license required by start of assignment; applicants without an active HI license must apply upon acceptance
- Minimum two years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience
- Strong medication administration and clinical procedures experience across acute and long-term care settings
- Comfortable working in a small hospital where RNs cover multiple areas and float as needed
- Professional license in good standing and ability to comply with facility onboarding requirements
