Shift Type: 3x12-hour nights per week, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Night). Every-other-weekend required.
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit during night shift
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data to detect and escalate changes in patient condition
- Safely manage patient assignments at ratios commonly around 1:5-6, prioritizing acuity and safety
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and execute individualized care plans
- Document care accurately and efficiently in Epic to ensure continuity and quality of care
- Float between like units within scope of practice to meet facility needs when required
- Participate in unit-based initiatives and support a culture of continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required (pending licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry preferred (first-time travel nurses welcome)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Comfortable working at a Level III Trauma Center / Teaching Hospital environment
- Ability to float between similar units and adapt to changing patient needs
- Willingness to work every-other-weekend and adhere to facility policies (return staff/contract limits)
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
- Medical-Surgical nursing skills and prioritization
- Proficient charting in Epic
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and delegation skills
- Experience with 12-hour night shift workflows and handoffs
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, teaching hospital setting
