Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily nursing care to residents, focusing on safety and dignity
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Perform assessments, record vital signs, and report clinical changes promptly
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members for coordinated care
• Support resident mobility, ADLs, and comfort measures with respect and patience
• Educate residents and families about care plans and health maintenance
• Maintain accurate, timely charting in the facility electronic health record

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain prior to start
• Travel LPN experience or openness to travel assignments is welcome
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Ability to work scheduled days: Sunday, Thursday, Saturday with 12+ hour shifts
• Current immunizations and ability to complete facility background checks and health screenings

Education

• Diploma or certificate from an accredited Practical Nursing program
• Active LPN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in medication administration and documentation
• Strong assessment and observation skills for early identification of changes
• Comfortable with electronic health record charting
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with residents, families, and staff
• Good time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Basic wound care and post-op care knowledge applicable to long-term care
