Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate patient care in accordance with hospital methods and procedures
- Assist staff nurses in treatment and ongoing care for long-term care residents
- Demonstrate and promote patient- and family-centered care at every interaction
- Follow established clinical protocols, documentation standards, and safety practices
- Communicate clearly with team members, leadership, patients, and families
- Support quality initiatives and contribute to a positive patient experience
- Adhere to facility attendance and punctuality policies to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) — active Michigan nursing license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of long-term care (LTC) nursing experience
- BLS from the American Heart Association (AHA) required and must be documented
- MI LTC fingerprinting is a plus and considered a selling point
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and comply with facility attendance policies
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care skills and experience in long-term care settings
- Knowledge of patient- and family-centered care principles
- Familiarity with hospital/long-term care methods, procedures, and documentation
- Good clinical judgment, infection control, and safety awareness
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Dependability, punctuality, and ability to follow facility attendance policies
