Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care during overnight hours
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document in the chart
• Monitor and assess patient status, reporting changes promptly to the care team
• Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, and interdisciplinary staff to implement care plans
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed
• Accurately maintain records and ensure regulatory compliance
• Support a safe and comforting environment for residents and families overnight

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — New Hampshire licensure required or ability to obtain prior to start
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain before starting)
• Previous LPN experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar preferred
• Comfortable working night shifts and every other weekend as required
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
• Reliable, compassionate, and detail-oriented with solid clinical judgment

Education

• Completion of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program
• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Basic clinical assessment skills (vital signs, wound checks, fall risk)
• Familiarity with electronic health records and charting
• Infection control and safety procedures
• Time management and prioritization during high-acuity nights
• Team collaboration and clear communication with patients and families
